Our Gallery's home, the "old Selmah Schoolhouse",
is close to 190 years old and originally served the
community as a two room school house.
The School operated for 96 years and it was
reported to the Superintendent of Schools that "in
terms of structure and style, the Selmah School was
one of the most outstanding rural schools in Nova
Scotia".

The Maitland Heritage District and
Gallery 215 were well represented at the recent
Tourism Symposium
in Milford on February 12th, presented by the
Municipality of East Hants.

Industry organizations networked with
local stakeholder groups & businesses to
'brand-storm', coming up with new ideas to promote
the area.

Representatives Susan Marlin and
Nettah Burry with Symposium organizer JD MacCulloch
from the East Hants Office of Economic and Rural
Development.

Gallery 215 offers paintings by many
Nova Scotia artists, but also wood work, hooked rugs
& quilts, glass products, jewelry, sculpture & much more...
